George Adriance Jr. Goes to Court (1830)

George Adriance Jr. was born in Fishkill,N.Y.in 1776. He grew up in Berne,N.Y. and then later moved to Perinton,N.Y.In 1830,two years before his death, he made a sworn statement in court attempting to recover a debt owed to him by Thomas Arndt.George was Jacob Adriance's older brother and Joseph Adriance's uncle.The statement reads as follows: George Adriance being duly sworn before Reuben Milley Justice makes oath and says that Thomas Arndt is indebted to him and that he has reason to believe that there is danger of loosing his demand unless warrant issued immediately. Subscribed and sworn the 18th day of August 1830 before me. Rueben Milley Justice Note- George signed the statement. Notice how he wrote the Ad in Adriance.
